About Us and Our Founder
Thank
you for your interest in PC Onsite. Home users and small businesses need IT help, but usually have no one
to call. This is why I started PC
Onsite.
It is my personal goal to provide superior service, support, and
advice to home users and small to medium-sized businesses.
For
the small business owner, as well as the home user, what do you do when you
need help? You usually have to break
down your system, take it to a local shop or computer superstore, wait for an
available technician, try to explain what the computer was doing, then leave
it for several days (maybe even weeks) for repair, go back to get it later,
and then try to remember how to hook everything back up. If you purchased your computer on-line, or
through a “mega-dealer”, you usually have to wade through several
menus on the telephone, only to be told that you will have to ship your
system to them. We come to you. We believe that seeing the computer in its
normal working environment is the best way to diagnose the problem. We also appreciate that you probably
don’t have the time to run around town, carrying your PC to be
fixed. This is why we make
“house calls”.
Nearly
every business needs computers, but most small to medium sized companies have
neither the need, nor the resources, for full-time IT staff. Doctor, dentist, attorney, accountant,
realtor, insurance agent, salesman, contractor, mechanic, shop owner -- can
you think of any business that does not need computers for something? The big companies have in-house staff for
IT support. But what do you do if you
don’t? You
call us. There is no need to
pay for a full-time staff technician, when you only need occasional
service. We will come as needed, for
an hourly fee, or we can tailor a service plan to fit your budget and your
business. We are your on-call, on-site
IT department.
As
for myself, I
bought my first computer, just for myself, in 1985, and have been a
"computer guy", in some capacity, ever since.
A few years later, I was helping family, friends, neighbors,
classmates, and co-workers with their computer issues. From that
humble beginning, after referrals to help other people, folks eventually
started asking me to look at issues at their offices. Once I realized the need for service in
the residential and small business market segment, PC Onsite was born.
I recognized that there is a large group of people and businesses out
there, who seem to be generally overlooked by the service providers of the
Information Technology profession.
In addition to the computer related jobs I have had, I have also held
various positions in the hospitality, sales, banking, and security
fields. Most of these were customer
service oriented jobs, which I had during and between my college years. In addition to Computer Information Sciences, my academic areas of study also include:
accounting, business management, history, mechanical engineering, and
political science.
The
reason I mention a little about my own history is to demonstrate that we
bring with us a wide-ranging and varied background, which has given us an
expansive, multi-faceted range of knowledge and experience to draw upon. At PC Onsite, we are not narrowly focused
technical robots. Because we know how
to think “outside the box”, we can work with you to understand
your specific needs. We have had to
learn how to work with all kinds of different people, from various
backgrounds, in different situations, all with similar, but never exactly the
same, needs. This means that we can
understand your particular and unique needs and can develop a solution that
fits you and/or your business.
We
pride ourselves on being innovative, imaginative, creative, resourceful, and
persistent. We refuse to back down
from a challenge. Long hours and hard
work have never deterred us from getting the job done. We have a talent for taking any problem
thrown at us, and finding a way to solve it.
As
part of my personal philosophy of customer service, we give all new customers
a free evaluation. You only incur a
fee, after you decide to have us do the work.
Call us, if you have any questions.
We are here to help.
Thank
you for your time,
Lee Moody
