Superior customer service and satisfaction is our primary
goal.
Clients
ask valid questions, which deserve to be addressed. “Why should I repair or upgrade my old system, when I can just
go buy a new one?” “What
about all my data?” “My
computer is only a year old and seems to be OK, what can you do for
me?” We rarely run across a
computer that we cannot upgrade and/or improve, even if it is relatively new
and seems to working satisfactorily.
When it comes to repairs, we can usually return your system to its
original, or better, performance level, even if you do not upgrade it to its
maximum potential.
Many
companies, who claim to be service providers, are so closely affiliated with
vendors that their priorities may have become conflicted and/or
compromised. They often attempt to
sell a client a new system, when their existing system can be easily repaired
or upgraded. While we will gladly
procure standard systems, or build custom systems, for any clients requesting
us to do so, our primary service focus has always been to help our clients
make the most out of the systems they already have.
When
is comes to an older system, we often find that it was never properly
optimized in the first place, and generally it has not been expanded to
anywhere near its full performance potential.
As regards a malfunctioning system, we generally find that the
hardware is fine, but the operating system has become corrupted. By wiping the hard drive clean, properly
reloading the software, and optimizing it, we can usually restore your system
to be better than it was when you first got it. Why spend several hundred dollars on a new
system, when you can achieve the same results for less cost?
We
do not wish to say anything negative or detrimental about the way that most
computer vendors build their systems.
It’s just that they have goals and priorities, which may be
different than the end user. They are geared towards generating
profits, which means maximizing efficiency, which translates into building
thousands of identical, generic, mass produced, “cookie cutter”
systems, which are often less than fully optimized. The advertising and marketing for these
systems can be rather misleading, in regards to what you are actually getting
with the system, versus what you think you are getting. These vendors
tend to load a lot of “trial-ware” software that may be useful,
but that expires after a short time.
There are also often unnecessary, “cutesy” software
applications that are not really useful for most end users. Even worse,
many of these software packages may consume valuable and limited system
resources.
These
systems usually provide a good starting place, which then need to be adjusted
and optimized, with the unique needs of the individual end user in
mind. This is where the PC Onsite expertise comes to your aid.
We specialize in meeting the needs of clients who may have started with a
mass produced system, but who have not yet realized the full potential of
that system, or who need it customized for their unique needs.
In
addition, many computer vendors do not offer any service to transfer your
existing data to another system.
Unlike some computer service providers, PC Onsite is very
conscientious about our clients’ data and confidentiality. Unless the client specifies that they have
no data they are concerned about saving, we will make every reasonable
attempt to retrieve and restore your data. In the rare instances when a hard drive
failure prevents us from recovering your data ourselves, we will present you
with the various options available and will act as liaison with any third-party
data retrieval service deemed appropriate.
Client data is only retained long enough to verify that everything
important has been restored, and then the data is electronically
“shredded”.
Honesty
and integrity are hallmarks of the PC Onsite philosophy. We will not tell you what we
“think” you want to hear.
If your system is truly beyond help, or is not worth the cost of
repair, we will tell you. Though rare,
should we come upon a problem that we cannot resolve, we will either learn
how to solve the issue, or find someone who can, or tell you and give you the
facts and options available, so that you can make an informed decision. No single organization can be all things to
all people. If, for any reason, we are
not able to meet your needs, we will tell you, and will attempt to find
someone who can. Our professional
reputation is of paramount importance to us.
We will never intentionally, knowingly do anything to damage that
reputation.
As
you can see, we can repair and/or optimize almost any existing computer, while retaining your valuable data,
for less cost than getting a comparably configured new system. You can trust PC Onsite to be on your side
and look after your best interests.
Please
call or e-mail us if you have any questions.
